The eponymous red 2017 Emilio Moro was cropped from a very challenging year, selecting grapes from vines aged between 15 and 25 years of age. It fermented in stainless steel with yeasts selected by them and matured in French and American oak barrels for 12 months. I was quite pleasantly surprised by the quality of the 2017s here, the wines keep the freshness and balance, with a medium-bodied palate, sweet fruit and a juicy texture, very pleasant and easy to drink. 850,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in May 2019.

這間Emilio Moro酒莊位於西班牙Ribera del Duero,歷史可追溯到1932年。酒莊創始人Emilio Moro出生於Presquera釀酒區中心地帶,主要種植西班牙獨有的Tempranillo葡萄品種,並且在早期的時候,酒園種植的葡萄因受到酒王Vega Sicilia垂青,所以將其高品質的7成葡萄賣給西班牙酒王Vega Sicilia來釀造旗艦酒Unico酒款。及後才慢慢終止合作關係,開始大力釀製屬於自己的葡萄酒。其絕大部分釀出的葡萄酒都贏得了Wine Advocate 90分以上的評分,因此Emilio Moro酒莊已成為西班牙最具聲譽的酒莊之一。
