The single-vineyard Malbec 2019 Terroir Series Malbec Finca Ambrosía is from one of the top three terroirs from the 80 growers with whom they work in Mendoza, a property that was planted 12 years ago in Gualtallary at 1,300 meters in altitude. The grapes ripened thoroughly in the cool 2019 vintage, and the wine fermented in concrete and matured in barriques and foudres for 18 months; it reached 15.1% alcohol and retained some three grams of unfermented sugar. Despite the high ripeness, the wine shows a bit shy, austere and subtle. The palate is ample, round, lush and dense, with concentration, powerful and fine tannins and a dry finish. This is textured and tasty, with balance and stuffing to develop in bottle. 23,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in April 2021.
