|Type of Wine: Whisky |
Bottle Size: 700ml
A Chorlton Whisky bottling of ace Ardmore single malt Scotch whisky. This single cask expression was allowed to age in a bourbon barrel for 9 years, before being bottled at cask strength with an outturn of 153 bottles. The label features art of a fairly angry-looking cloud guy holding a whacking great sword. Not sure if that's supposed to mean anything for the whisky, but it is pretty cool nevertheless.
Nose: Citrus-forward, with enough peaty smoke to balance the fruit freshness.
Palate: Oatcakes and Christmas spices, with the continued orange notes pairing wonderfully.
Finish: Meaty smoke and hints of cinnamon bark.
