Allen Meadows - Burghound 94
A more deeply pitched and much earthier and gamier array mixes notes of various red berries, floral and enough wood influence to mention. Like the Les Cras the broad-shouldered flavors possess a sleekly muscular mouth feel while delivering excellent length on the firm, serious and youthfully austere finale. I would suggest allowing this at least 7 to 8 years of cellaring first.
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 95
The 2015 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru comes from three parcels within its famous walls. It has a slightly stricter and linear bouquet compared to the 2015 Echézeaux, revealing subtle darker fruit aromas as it opens up in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, impressive depth and balance with pitch-perfect acidity. This is so harmonious and smooth in texture, yet there is superb complexity and nuance on the finish. This is a delicious Clos de Vougeot that will repay several years of cellaring.
