Domaine Rossignol-Trapet

Domaine Rossignol Trapet winery was established through the union of Mr. Rossignol from the village of Volnay and Mrs. Trapet from the village of Gevrey Chambertin. The family's sons, Nicolas and David, took over the winery business starting from 1990. The two brothers worked together to create their outstanding terroir-driven wines. From 1996, they began practicing organic and biodynamic farming methods in their vineyards, and by 2004, all of their vineyards were certified by Demeter.

Their wines are known for their purity, freshness, and elegance, distinguishing them from the traditionally robust wines of Gevrey Chambertin. They strive to find a harmonious balance between finesse and expressing the power of tannins. Through their meticulous efforts, they gradually became shining stars in the wine world. The Chambertin Grand Cru produced by Rossignol Trapet winery was selected as the cover wine for Remington Norman's masterpiece, "Grand Cru," and the winery is also featured in the same author's book, "The Great Domaines of Burgundy." This showcases the winery's unwavering status in Burgundy.
