Olivier Leflaive

In 1984, Olivier Leflaive departed from the renowned and prestigious family-owned Burgundy estate, Domaine Leflaive (where he was the nephew of the owner), to establish Olivier Leflaive. Thanks to his wide circle of friends, many local winegrowers with exceptional vineyards were willing to sell their grapes to Olivier. Alongside the straightforward and talented winemaker Franck Grux, Olivier embarked on the journey of winemaking.

Perhaps influenced by his experiences at Domaine Leflaive, Olivier Leflaive rapidly gained recognition as one of Burgundy's top white wine producers, starting from the 1990s. Professional American media outlets such as Wine Advocate, Wine Spectator, and Burghound have bestowed excellent ratings upon his wines. In France, the renowned wine critics Guide Bettane et Desseauve des vins de France awarded Olivier Leflaive a four-star rating (out of five stars), while La Revue du Vin de France gave a two-star rating (out of three stars). These accolades solidify Olivier Leflaive's position as one of the leading producers of Burgundy white wines.
