Felton Road

Felton Road is a renowned winery founded in 1991 and is known for its exceptional Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Riesling wines. The winery gained recognition as one of the best in New Zealand in the seventh edition of Robert Parker's Wine Buyer's Guide, published in October 2008. Only five wineries received this honor. In Hugh Johnson's bestselling book "Pocket Wine Book" 2011 edition, Felton Road was also awarded a three-star rating as a top-quality winery.Located in the Bannockburn sub-region of Central Otago, New Zealand, Felton Road benefits from a relatively warmer climate compared to other areas in Central Otago. It holds the distinction of being the southernmost wine-producing region in the world. The vineyards are situated in a microclimate surrounded by high mountains, with some peaks even experiencing year-round snow. Despite being close to the limits of suitable grape cultivation, the region enjoys clear days, cool nights, and a long, dry autumn, making it highly suitable for growing Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Riesling grape varieties.
