Georges Roumier

Domaine Georges Roumier, a renowned Burgundy winery, has a history that traces back to the early 20th century. Several vineyards, including Les Amoureuses, were part of the dowry brought by Georges Roumier's wife when they married in 1924. Over time, the estate expanded, and currently, it owns approximately 12 hectares of vineyards centered around Chambolle-Musigny.In 1953, Georges Roumier decided to retire and passed the estate to his son, Christophe Roumier. Born in 1958, Christophe Roumier developed a profound interest in winemaking. He graduated from the winemaking program at Dijon University and possessed both wisdom and talent. With the family's ownership of exceptional vineyards, Domaine Georges Roumier quickly gained a stellar reputation in the 1980s, becoming one of the most shining names in Burgundy in a remarkably short period.
