The winery is a project composed of independent winemakers from traditional wineries. It started in 2021 in Shangri-La, Yunnan, China. Initially, the winery owned a 0.12-hectare Chardonnay vineyard in the Adong Village at an altitude of 2600 meters, where the grapevines were planted in 2008. Subsequently, an additional 0.44-hectare Chardonnay vineyard was leased in the Xidacun at an altitude of 2800 meters, and a 0.13-hectare Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard was added in the Meirishicun.

The winery practices sustainable winemaking, maintaining the ecological balance of the vineyards to protect the environment, soil, and the health of surrounding villagers. They aim to minimize the use of harmful chemicals such as fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides, utilizing biological components within the ecosystem to manage the vineyards in a regenerative agriculture approach. Regenerative agriculture is a strategy focused on protecting and rebuilding agricultural ecosystems, with a core emphasis on soil regeneration, enhancing biodiversity, optimizing water resource cycles, improving ecosystem functions, promoting carbon sequestration, enhancing resilience to climate change, and improving soil health and vitality.

This winery is exploring the possibilities of Chinese wine in an intriguing way, showcasing the unique style of Shangri-La wines.
