Loosen's 2023 Riesling Kabinett Blue Slate opens with a bright and savory, very youthful and still musty bouquet with lots of primary aromas and certainly also sulfur. On the palate, this is a light, round and charmingly fruity yet also savory and slate-driven Riesling for many occasions yet mainly for thirsty throats. The sweetness is palatable, but thanks to the crystalline acidity, it's everything but sticky. The wine has ripe and fleshy Mosel fruit. 8% stated alcohol. Screw-cap closure. Tasted in December 2024.
