Allen Meadows - Burghound 93

An ultra-fresh, cool, airy and admirably pure nose features crystal clear and transparent red pinot fruit and essence of stone. This is a bit firmer than the Combottes with even more evident minerality on the delicious, focused and beautifully well-delineated flavors that terminate in a precise, long, linear and palate staining finish. Terrific and worth a special search to find though be aware that this youthfully austere effort will required extended cellaring.

Wine Spectator 93

Lean and chewy, with floral, cherry, raspberry and spice flavors. The tannins are assertive, causing this to finish on the chalky, minerally side. Refined and long, delivering an intense, stony aftertaste. Best from 2016 through 2033.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 93

The 2010 Chambolle-Musigny Les Cras comes across as delicate and finely knit in this vintage. The hard, firm tannins that are at times present are nowhere to be found. A beautifully expressive, knock-out bouquet melds into a finely knit fabric of red berries. The tannins feel like satin on the caressing finish. Anticipated maturity: 2020-2030.
