The 2022 Riesling Bernkasteler Badstube Spätlese (Green Capsule) is very clear and precise on the fresh and beautifully aromatic nose that shows stone fruit aromas intermingled with savory notes of crushed stones and salts. Round and textural on the palate, with fine tannins balancing the richness and intensity of this still very young Spätlese, this is a savory and characterful Badstube made to be enjoyed in a decade at the earliest. The wine is pure and savory yet also intense and textured—all there to be enjoyed over decades. 9.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in August 2024 from AP 58 23.
