The 2017 Bésoleil is a blend of Grenache, Mourvedre, Couniose and Syrah that opens with elegant and precise aromas of bright rubied fruit. Moving deeper on the nose, there are subtle aromas of red spice with a soft rusticity that adds to the complexity. Medium to full-bodied, the palate shows soft red fruit and spices upfront, while strengthening tannins build toward the back, channeling Old World essence with New World ripeness. The long, spicy finish continues to bring pleasure moments after the wine has left the palate. If this isn't in your cellar, with only 450 cases made, you better hurry to hunt down a bottle for yourself.

Sleek and harmonious, with pretty violet, raspberry and peppered meat accents that take on layers of complexity as this sails toward polished tannins. Grenache, Mourvèdre, Counoise and Syrah. Drink now through 2025.

Wine Enthusiast 93
Grenache makes up 49% of this wine, with the rest Mourvèdre (34%), Counoise (11%) and Syrah. The aromas are very pretty, with notes of white pepper, blueberry, raspberry and mineral. The palate is medium bodied, bringing a sense of delicacy. It’s all about elegance, with a fine sense of peppery spicing that ups the interest. A long finish caps it off.
