Château Troplong Mondot

The history of this estate can be traced back to 1745 when it, along with Château Pavie, was just part of a large vineyard. Over the years, it experienced ups and downs, but in the 1980s, under the new ownership of Christine Valette-Pariente and with the assistance of Merlot expert Michel Rolland, the quality of Château Troplong Mondot reached its peak. After 20 years of dedication, this estate was finally elevated to a Premier Grand Cru Classé in 2006. Since the year 2000, it has consistently received high scores, with near-perfect ratings of 99 points from Parker for the 2009 and 2010 vintages, establishing its position as a Premier Grand Cru Classé on the right bank. Château Troplong Mondot's vineyard is superbly located in the eastern part of the town of Saint-Émilion, adjacent to several prestigious estates such as Château Pavie, Château Pavie Macquin, and Château Larcis Ducasse, all of which are Premier Grand Cru Classé properties, highlighting the exceptional terroir of this area.
