Masi Costasera Amarone

"Masi Costasera" is a wine produced by the Masi winery, located near the town of Veneto in northeastern Italy. The winery has a history spanning over 200 years and has been owned by the Boscaini family since the 18th century. It remains a family-run business to this day. Masi Costasera is crafted using the traditional Appassimento drying technique, where the grapes are sourced from the historic Valpolicella Classica vineyard area (Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara). During the cold winter season, the grapes are dried on bamboo racks, allowing them to concentrate their flavors and aromas. In 2007, Masi winery was nominated by Wine & Spirits magazine as one of the Top 100 Wineries of the Year, achieving the impressive 8th position in the annual ranking.
