Mazzei

Mazzei Estate, as one of Italy's top wineries, has garnered numerous awards and accolades from renowned wine critics such as Gambero Rosso, The Wine Advocate, and James Suckling. Situated in the heart of Chianti Classico, the estate has been owned by the Mazzei family since 1435. With vineyards spanning 117 hectares, the grapes are meticulously hand-harvested. The juice is extracted and gravity-fed throughout the process, avoiding the use of mechanical pumps.

The fermentation takes place in 74 small stainless steel tanks, utilizing 120 different vinification techniques to enhance and unveil the expression of each individual plot. Once fermentation is complete, the wine is aged in the underground cellars, where the natural spring water running down the rock walls helps maintain optimal temperature and humidity levels.

This meticulous attention to detail and the natural environment contributes to the quality and character of Mazzei wines.
