Prunotto

The founder of Prunotto Winery, Mr. Alfredo Prunotto, was a well-known winemaker in the Piedmont region who had worked for many famous wineries in the area. In 1923, he bought a winery in Alba and began his own winemaking business. As the pioneer of the "single vineyard" concept, Prunotto Winery not only has a strict grape selection process but also strives for excellence in the winemaking process. Thanks to Alfredo and his wife's continuous dedication and passion for winemaking, Prunotto quickly gained recognition in the market and successfully promoted their wines worldwide. After Alfredo's retirement in 1956, he passed the winery to his friend and fellow winemaker Beppe Colla. In 1989, it was bought by the iconic Italian winery Antinori and has been fully managed by them since 1995, continuing the legacy of passion and excellent quality passed down by Alfredo Prunotto. This has resulted in Prunotto's wines having a more fruit-forward flavor while still maintaining their unique terroir characteristics.
