Shafer is a heavyweight winery in California's Napa Valley and is also one of the representatives of Cult Wines. Its history dates back to 1972 when the owner of the winery, John Shafer, moved his family to California and started his second career. In its first year of production, the winery received the prestigious award from the San Francisco Wine Tasting Club. Made from 100% Cabernet, it is crafted from select grapes from the top slopes of the Stag’s Leap district vineyards, aged in new French oak barrels for 32 months.
