Chateau de la Maltroye

The estate and wine cellar of Chateau du Moulin-a-Vent have roots dating back to the 15th century in Burgundy. However, the winery truly began to flourish in 1940 when the Cournut family acquired the entire estate. It was under the leadership of André Cournut, the first owner, that the winery initially struggled. It wasn't until Jean-Pierre Cournut took over in 1995 that significant progress and advancements were made in all aspects of the estate.Following Jean-Pierre Cournut's leadership, Chateau du Moulin-a-Vent was recognized as one of the finest wineries by "The Great Domaine of Burgundy," a renowned Burgundy wine reference. The estate gained high praise from esteemed Burgundy wine critic Allen Meadows, further solidifying its reputation for producing exceptional wines.
