Dom Ruinart

Ruinart is the oldest Champagne producer in the world, with a rich history. It was founded by Dom Thierry Ruinart, a Benedictine monk and a close friend of Dom Pérignon, who is often considered the father of Champagne. Dom Thierry Ruinart came from a prestigious family in the Champagne region of France. During his travels across various European countries, he observed the fondness of royal and aristocratic individuals for Champagne. Inspired by this, he shared his vision of establishing a Champagne business with his brother, Nicolas Ruinart.In 1729, Nicolas Ruinart's son, also named Nicolas Ruinart, realized the ambitious dream of his uncle, Dom Thierry Ruinart, by founding the first Champagne house. This marked the beginning of Ruinart as a renowned Champagne producer.
