Ferrari

In 1902, Italian Giulio Ferrari completed his studies in France and brought back the traditional méthode champenoise winemaking technique to his hometown in Trentino, northern Italy. He believed that the terroir and climate in Trentino were ideal for producing world-class sparkling wines. He began using the same traditional method of secondary fermentation as in Champagne, creating a range of Italian sparkling wines known for their elegance and finesse that could rival the finest Champagnes in the world.

This led to numerous awards and accolades. However, in 1952, as Giulio Ferrari had no heirs, he sold the Ferrari winery to Bruno Lunelli, whom he trusted. The winery has been passed down to the third generation of the Lunelli family, who continue to run it as a family business. In 2015, Ferrari was honored with the title of "Best Sparkling Wine Producer of the Year" at the International Champagne and Sparkling Wine World Championships. In the final round of the competition, Ferrari surpassed renowned Champagne brands such as Charles Heidsieck and Louis Roederer, cementing its position as the best sparkling wine of the year.
