Vinous 92
The 2023 Chardonnay Cuvée Alyce emerges from the highest-elevation section of the vineyard and is planted with an assortment of clones, including Hyde Wente, Hudson Wente and Clone 95. Oily and textured in the glass, the Alyce offers lovely textural resonance within the context of the year. Orange confit, crème brûlée, spice and a kiss of French oak linger as the 2023 blossoms with air.


Walter Hansel 現由Jesse Torres, Steve Hansel 和 Stacie Burgin打理，現在酒莊是沒有任何全職工作的員工，是一到採收到裝瓶時，Jesse 酒莊經理便會找來他熟悉的員工一同努力到場工作，一同打造世界級葡萄酒
原本是一個農夫家庭，一直都在種植不同類型的水果，由獼猴桃到梨子等等，到了1970後突然開始嘗試種植Chardonnay 葡萄，家族也會自家釀造兩桶葡萄酒，但發現是十分難喝，釀酒並不是這麼簡單，隨後找到了朋友 Tom Rochioli ，把釀造熱情點燃，更學習了釀酒技術，更是這份熱情使酒莊慢慢在世界上受到注目，現時擁有80 英畝葡萄樹，主要種植 Pinot Noir 和 Chardonnay，葡萄園裡種植了5個Pinot Noir和5個Chardonnay克隆品種所有水果都是手工採摘，重點是低產量以實現更高的複雜性。由於他們所有的葡萄都是在自己的土地上種植的，因此他們可以對葡萄園進行嚴格的控制，每個克隆都因其特定的酸度和風味變化而被選擇。
