Adrien Renoir is located in the northernmost part of the Champagne region, specifically in Montagne de Reims-Verzy. It is renowned for its high-quality Pinot Noir wines. The estate has been passed down through four generations, with Adrien officially taking over in 2014. Under the guidance of his father, Vincent, Adrien learned the techniques of winemaking. However, he also initiated innovations, promoting biodynamic farming methods.Initially, Adrien had disagreements with his father regarding the use of chemical fertilizers in the northern region of Montagne de Reims. Vincent believed that it was necessary to use them to produce good grapes. Adrien, on the other hand, proved over time that his approach was correct. He also experimented with different sizes of oak barrels, egg-shaped concrete tanks, and established a Solera system to create a diverse range of styles that showcase the terroir advantages of Verzy.With only 5 hectares of vineyards, Adrien Renoir produces a limited quantity of Champagne, approximately 32,000 bottles per year. Most of the production is acquired by local French restaurants and private customers, making it a highly sought-after grower Champagne. Only a small portion is exported.
