Antonio Quari

Antonio Quari is the cellar master at Domaine Prieuré Roch. Under the guidance of Henri-Frédéric Roch and Yannick Champ, he approaches winemaking from vineyard to bottle with great care and love. He is dedicated to preserving the health of each vineyard, striving to intervene minimally and allow the vineyards to develop naturally. A winemaker committed to progress, Antonio's passion and foresight are reflected in his motto on the label, "Non Progredi est Regredi," meaning "Not to progress is to regress."

Since 2017, Antonio has been crafting a special cuvée under his own name from the Les Briquottes vineyard in Ladoix. Planted in 1976, this vineyard has been organically cultivated by the sole organic grower in Ladoix for over a decade. In the cellar, Antonio follows a similar philosophy to DPR in winemaking: 100% whole-cluster fermentation and reassembly solely by gravity. These wines age for ten months in old barrels and are bottled without clarification or filtration. Due to the very limited production, only a small number of bottles are available for distribution.
