Chateau Bellevue Mondotte was established in 2001 and is located in Saint-Emilion, France. The estate is owned by Gerard Perse, who is also the owner of Chateau Pavie, another renowned winery in Saint-Emilion. Chateau Bellevue Mondotte covers a mere 2.5 hectares of vineyards, which are situated on slopes with excellent geographical conditions. The sloping terrain aids in natural drainage and provides optimal sunlight exposure to the grapes.The vineyards of Chateau Bellevue Mondotte are planted with over 45-year-old vines, with more than 90% of the grape variety being Merlot, which dominates the blend. The estate focuses on low yields to ensure high quality. The grapes are carefully handpicked and undergo a seven-week long maeration process. The wine is then aged for 24 months in 100% new oak barrels before bottling, without filtration or clarification.Chateau Bellevue Mondotte produces wines that are known for their rich texture, smooth tannins, and elegant finesse. They typically exhibit aromas of wild strawberries, red currants, and toasted bread. The overall experience is one of sophistication and delicacy.
