Benanti

Benanti is a renowned winery located in Sicily, Italy. The estate has a long history, dating back to the late 1800s when Giuseppe Benanti established the winery in the town of Viagrande on the slopes of Mount Etna. Today, the winery is run by the fourth and fifth generations of the Benanti family, who continue the tradition of producing exceptional wines.Benanti is particularly known for its focus on indigenous Sicilian grape varieties, such as Nerello Mascalese and Carricante, which are well-suited to the volcanic soils and unique microclimate of Mount Etna. The winery owns vineyards in different areas of Mount Etna, including the Contrada Cavaliere, Contrada Monte Serra, and Contrada Rovittello, allowing them to capture the diversity of the terroir and express it in their wines.
