Fernando Mora, a self-taught winemaker from Spain, achieved recognition in the wine world by winning the prestigious Quinta do Noval prize awarded by the Institute of Masters of Wine. This prize is named after the renowned Portuguese Port wine estate, Quinta do Noval, owned by AXA Millesimes, the wine subsidiary of the French insurance company, AXA Group.

Initially, Fernando Mora worked as an engineer in an automatic wind turbine factory. However, his passion for wine led him to plant 28 grapevines in his grandparents' garden. He later acquired a small family winery and even used bathtubs as fermentation vessels. In 2013, he decided to leave his engineering job and established Bodegas Frontonio winery in 2015.While expressing a strong admiration for the Garnacha grape variety, Fernando Mora eagerly looks forward to visiting Quinta do Noval to study the native and immigrant grape varieties grown there.
