Boris Champy

Boris Champy Winery was established in 1984 by Didier Montchovet under the previous name Domaine Didier Montchovet. In those early years, Didier leased a 0.5-hectare vineyard in Nantoux. As a young winemaker, he pursued organic and biodynamic farming methods in the vineyard, continuously studying and delving into the practices. The winery became the first in Burgundy to obtain Demeter biodynamic certification. Didier was known for his deep respect and attentiveness to nature.

From 1990 to 2020, the winery underwent expansion and started acquiring more vineyards. It now encompasses 12 hectares of vineyards. Boris Champy, the current winemaker, originally worked in the Champagne region and spent 10 years studying winemaking in Napa Valley. He later returned to Burgundy and took on the role of estate manager at "Clos des Lambrays" and served as the president of the Corton ODG. He was also responsible for establishing an environmental protection association. Boris Champy is an incredibly skilled and professional winemaker, which is why Didier Montchovet entrusted him with the winery. Boris Champy Winery is definitely a Burgundy estate worth trying.
