Brovia

Brovia winery was founded in 1863 and has a history of over 150 years. It has been passed down for four generations, and is currently managed by Elena Brovia, the fourth generation of the family. She is in charge of managing the vineyards, while her husband Alex Sanchez is responsible for winemaking. The winery strives to preserve traditional and new winemaking techniques to improve the quality of their wines. Through their hard work over the years, the winery has gained access to some of the most prestigious vineyards in Castiglione Falletto, such as Rocche di Castiglione, Villero, Garbèt Sue, and Cur Brea in Serralunga d'Alba. Brovia is also a very dedicated grape grower, using natural yeast for fermentation, conducting soil analysis every two years to ensure balance, and pruning to limit yields. They have low yields, practice organic farming, and do not add any chemicals or filter their wines. They choose not to clarify their wines in order to preserve their unique character, and each glass is a complex and elegant expression of the terroir. Brovia is truly a superstar in the Barolo region of Italy.
