Brunello di Montalcino is a highly representative wine region in Italy, known for its rapid development over the past 30 years. It is located in the area surrounding Montalcino, south of Siena, and is primarily made from the Sangiovese grape, known as Brunello in this region. The wine is well-balanced, full-bodied, and can be aged for long periods. Generally, the wine is released five years after harvest, with at least two years of aging in oak barrels. Riserva wines require six years of aging before release. These wines are known for their long-lasting aroma, harmonious and elegant body, and spicy flavors. The tannins and acidity in the wine allow it to age for up to 10 years or more, reaching its peak after a decade. The Brunello di Montalcino wines we are featuring today have received high scores, and their aging time is sufficient, making them perfect to drink now with a great depth of flavor.
