Didier Amiot

Bruno Colin's father, Michel Colin-Deleger, was a highly renowned winemaker at Domaine Michel Colin-Deleger, known as one of the esteemed Fifth Apostle estates. Bruno followed in his father's footsteps and began working alongside him and his brothers in winemaking since 1993. After his father's retirement in 2003, Bruno and his brother took over the management of the estate. In the same year, Bruno established his own winery, where he introduced many modern techniques.

Bruno Colin implemented a balanced approach between red and white wines, with each comprising approximately 50% of the production. In 2008, he made a significant change by utilizing 350-liter oak barrels instead of the traditional 228-liter ones. This alteration aimed to preserve more of the fresh fruit aromas in the wines. In contrast to his father's wines, which had a distinct mineral character, Bruno focused more on achieving a harmonious fruit flavor profile in his red wines. For the white wines, he aimed to maintain their original light floral and fruity fragrances.

Amidst the recent trends in Burgundy winemaking, Bruno Colin has successfully captured the essence of the new generation's style. His wines demonstrate excellent performance even at a young age, showcasing his ability to accurately embody the flavors of the evolving Burgundy region.
