Calon Segur

Chateau Calon-Ségur, located in the Saint-Estèphe appellation of Médoc, is perhaps one of the oldest and most historic estates on the west coast of Bordeaux. However, its most famous aspect is arguably its owner, the Duke of Ségur. Despite owning Chateau Lafite and Chateau Latour in the 18th century, the Duke declared Calon-Ségur as his favorite estate. He famously said, "I make wine at Lafite and Latour, but my heart is at Calon-Ségur." Even today, the estate is known for its connection to the Duke.Chateau Calon-Ségur has a rich history and has consistently produced exceptional wines. The estate's wines have been highly regarded, and the 2010 vintage, in particular, has been hailed as a stunning year in recent times.
