Castello di Fonterutoli is located in the heart of Tuscany, Italy, on a hillside approximately 5 kilometers from Castellina. The estate embodies a blend of tradition and innovation and has been owned by the Mazzei family since 1435.

Today, the estate covers an expansive area of 650 hectares, with 117 hectares dedicated to vineyards. The vineyards benefit from perfect sun exposure and excellent geological conditions, resulting in wines that possess exceptional complexity, elegance, and power. The estate's vineyards are predominantly planted with Sangiovese, which accounts for 75% of the plantings, while the remainder is dedicated to Merlot.

The cultivation and harvesting of the grapes at the estate are primarily carried out by hand, ensuring optimal ripeness and quality. This meticulous attention to detail guarantees that the grapes reach their full potential before being transformed into fine wines.
