Castello di Montegrosso

Castello di Montegrosso is a castle that dates back to 1134 and was owned by Marquis Bonifacio del Vasto, who was the lord of Asti at that time. It occupies a vast hilly area and is deeply rooted in grape culture. With a history spanning several centuries and surviving numerous wars, the castle has witnessed significant events. The Motta family, who were farmers, began producing wine in 1794. Today, the winemaking is carried out by Graziano Motta. The winery operates with a low-profile approach and does not engage in marketing activities. They focus on crafting wines that complement delicious cuisine, and their dedication to their craft is highly respected. It is an exciting opportunity to have access to a limited quantity of the winery's previous vintages, and it generates great anticipation.
