After years of hard work and collaboration with the renowned French winery Chateau Lafite, Catena Zapata has become a world-renowned winery and a pioneer of top-quality wines in Argentina. Their flagship wine is a result of the partnership between Catena Zapata and Chateau Lafite, and it has won numerous championships in blind tastings around the world, surpassing esteemed wines like Opus One and Haut Brion.

This wine has a unique winemaking technique, which involves a deep integration of oak and wine. It undergoes fermentation in 225-liter small oak barrels, where the grape juice is punched down into the barrels without using bungs, allowing for a thorough mingling of oak flavors and fruit aromas. Currently, the only other wineries known to employ this method are the esteemed Harlan Estate in California's Napa Valley and Australia's renowned Penfolds Grange.
