【Benjamin Benoit was already making a name for himself in Amélie Berthaut and Charles Lachaux】

Cellier Saint Benoit is a fourth-generation family winery located in the heart of the Arbois-Pupillin appellation in the Jura region of France. The estate is currently led by the talented young winemaker, Benjamin Benoit, who took over from his father in 2019 at just 23 years old. Benjamin brought a fresh, quality-focused vision to the domaine, incorporating organic and regenerative farming practices learned during apprenticeships in Burgundy (notably with Charles Lachaux) and New Zealand.

The winery's philosophy emphasizes expressing the specific terroir of Pupillin with minimal intervention. Benjamin works with Chardonnay, Savagnin, Ploussard, Trousseau, and Pinot Noir. His dedication to quality, including hand-harvesting and using ambient yeasts, led to him being named "Jura Winemaker of the Year" by the Guide Hachette des Vins in 2021.

Benjamin’s wines are noted for their purity and precision. He produces ouillé (non-oxidative) white wines from single plots of Chardonnay and Savagnin.

His red wines highlight the characteristics of local varietals:
•⁠ ⁠Ploussard: Grapes are typically destemmed for semi-carbonic maceration, resulting in light-bodied wines with vibrant red berry and floral notes.
•⁠ ⁠Trousseau: Often fermented with 100% whole clusters, this produces darker, more structured wines with complexity and aging potential.

Additional wines include a Crémant du Jura and a Vin de Paille.
