Champagne Clandestin

Champagne Clandestin was co-founded by two seasoned Champagne growers. One is the independent Champagne grower Bertrand Gaucherot, who apprenticed under Jacques Selosse and currently owns Vouette & Sorbée. The other is the dynamic young Burgundian, Benoit Doussot, who founded Clandestin with great passion.

Both founders focus on organic and biodynamic farming methods, placing a high emphasis on grape quality. The vines are at least 20 years old, and only the most mature and perfect grapes are meticulously selected. Due to this strict selection process, the wines do not require additional sugar. They are carefully pressed, fermented only with natural yeast, and each barrel is treated according to the specific conditions of the grapes. Each plot is categorized and tailored for specific winemaking techniques, aiming for higher precision. The name "Clandestin" signifies hidden and mysterious aspects, inviting exploration into the enigmatic veil of this winery.
