Chateau Tertre Roteboeuf

Chateau Tertre Roteboeuf is a renowned estate located in Saint-Emilion on the right bank of Bordeaux, with origins dating back to the medieval period. It is managed by the highly respected owner and winemaker, Francois Mitjavile, who is deeply admired in the wine industry. Mitjavile is known for his unwavering dedication to crafting the finest wines without concerning himself with rankings or classification systems. He focuses solely on winemaking, believing that by producing exceptional wines, consumers will naturally recognize and appreciate their quality.

In 1996, Wine Searcher ranked the average scores of various vintages in the Saint-Emilion region, and Chateau Tertre Roteboeuf surpassed esteemed estates like Troplong Mondot, Pavie Macquin, and Figeac in the eyes of consumers. The estate predominantly cultivates 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, setting it apart from others with its unique style. With limited annual production, the wines are rich and full-bodied yet remarkably silky on the palate. They are aged in new French Radoux barrels for 18-24 months, enhancing their remarkable aging potential.
