Chris Ringland is a legendary winemaker from Australia, often receiving high praise and near-perfect scores from wine critics. He developed a passion for winemaking at the age of 12 and has worked in various wine regions, including New Zealand, the United States, and ultimately returning to Australia. Throughout his career, he has crafted exceptional wines for several wineries.

One notable winery associated with Chris Ringland is Three Rivers Dry-Grown Shiraz. Since 1993, every vintage of this wine has received exceptionally high scores from Robert Parker, including several perfect scores of 100 points.

The vineyards of Three Rivers are located at an elevation of approximately 548 meters. The primary grape variety grown is Shiraz, which has been cultivated since 1910. The vineyard boasts century-old vines, resulting in very low yields. Due to the limited production and the use of these ancient Shiraz vines, Three Rivers wines are considered some of the most difficult to acquire in Australia.
