Clinet

Chateau Clinet is located in the heart of the Pomerol appellation in Bordeaux, France. It gained considerable fame in the 19th century and was owned by the Arnaud family, along with Chateau Petrus. In 1860, the Constant family acquired the estate, and the son of the owner, Ernst, also owned Chateau Petrus. After changing hands several times, it was officially named Chateau Clinet in 1886.

Currently, the renowned wine consultant Michel Rolland oversees the winemaking at Chateau Clinet, making it one of the most prestigious right bank estates in the Pomerol region, alongside Petrus and L'Evangile. Notably, Robert Parker awarded Chateau Clinet a perfect score of 100 points in both 1989 and 2009.One of the secrets behind the exceptional quality of the wines lies in the estate's 20% vineyard of old-vine Merlot, with vines reaching up to 75 years of age. The remaining vines have an average age of 45 years.
