Clos de Sarpe

Chateau Clos de Sarpe is located in the Saint-Emilion Grand Cru appellation on the right bank of Bordeaux. It spans 3.7 hectares and has vineyards with an age ranging from 55 to 80 years. The vineyard slopes face directly south, providing ample sunlight. The soil is composed of clay, which is ideal for growing Merlot.In terms of winemaking techniques, Chateau Clos de Sarpe adopts an all-natural approach. They refrain from using herbicides, insecticides, pesticides, and anti-gray mold agents. The winemaking process is meticulous and lengthy, with the wine aged in 100% new French oak barrels for 16 to 18 months. As a result, the annual production of Chateau Clos de Sarpe is very limited, producing less than 1,000 cases per year. Each bottle has exceptional aging potential, gradually developing a smooth and delicate character while emanating aromatic fragrances.
