Clynelish

Clynelish is a classic representation of the Northern Highlands and was established in 1819. It is one of the northernmost distilleries in Scotland. The distillery's name in Gaelic translates to "enclosed pasture," reflecting its remote location. Clynelish whiskies have a distinctly unique flavor profile and have enjoyed a good reputation for many years. In fact, a publication called Harper's Weekly praised it in 1896 as "always commanding the highest price of any Scotch single malt whisky."

In 1967-1968, a new distillery was built alongside the existing one, which continued to produce whisky under the name Brora until 1983. The original Clynelish distillery, known as Brora, has gained a cult following among whisky enthusiasts due to its limited production and closure.
