The establishment of Deutz began with the migration of German individuals to France, specifically in the renowned village of Ay in the Champagne region. It was founded by William Deutz and Pierre Geldermann. Interestingly, in the past, Deutz primarily served Bollinger. Deutz Champagnes are known for their elegance, freshness, and finesse, emphasizing a perfect balance. The winery does not follow a large-scale production model; instead, it focuses on carefully controlling yields to maintain high-quality standards. Every step of the winemaking process reflects classic traditions, and the family's heritage system, spanning over 150 years of passing down knowledge from father to son, ensures the continuation of excellent traditional Champagne-making techniques. Therefore, although Deutz is not a giant wine producer, it has become a five-generation family business.
