Domaine A.F. Gros

Domaine A.F. Gros is located in Pommard and was founded in 1988 by Anne-Francoise Gros. She hails from the renowned "Gros" family, which has several estates scattered throughout the top Burgundy wine regions, making it a beloved choice among Burgundy wine enthusiasts. The A.F Gros estate was born out of love, as it is a venture of a deeply affectionate couple. Anne-Francoise's husband comes from the Burgundian winemaking family "Domaine Francois Parent," with both families having estates in Cote de Nuit and Cote de Beaune respectively, which together form the perfect couple of the Cote d’Or.

In 2013, François Parent retired, and the estate was passed on to their son Mathias Parent and daughter Caroline Parent for joint management. Mathias Parent is responsible for winemaking, while Caroline Parent oversees the business and marketing aspects.

The winery's style is characterized by precise, deep, and pure aromas, with a firm and compact structure. The use of new barrels reaches up to 40%, predominantly large oak barrels of up to 5000 liters to maintain the natural fruit aromas. Filtering is only done as a last resort to preserve these aromas.
