Duhart Milon

Château Duhart-Milon was classified as a Fourth Growth (Quatrième Cru) in the 1855 Bordeaux Wine Official Classification. It is one of the few estates classified as a growth without an actual château building. Instead, the wine is produced in a large warehouse located near the Pauillac region. This lack of a traditional château has not compromised the quality of the wine, as Château Duhart-Milon consistently produces wines of high quality.The name "Milon" in the estate's name refers to a small village located northwest of the Pauillac appellation, not far from the vineyards of the estate. Like many other prestigious châteaux, Château Duhart-Milon suffered setbacks during the two World Wars. It was not until 1962 when it was acquired by its neighboring estate, Château Lafite-Rothschild. Under the strict management and prestigious reputation of Lafite Rothschild, Château Duhart-Milon gained considerable recognition and has received numerous accolades.
