Elvio Cogno

Elvio is located in the Langhe region of Piedmont, Italy, on the hillsides. It is one of the 11 villages that produce Barolo wines. The winery was purchased by a couple with extensive winemaking experience in 1990. They focus on biodynamic farming, respecting and working in harmony with nature. They do not prioritize high yields but instead prioritize quality. They cultivate various native grape varieties, including Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Dolcetto. Each grapevine is meticulously cared for, without relying heavily on modern technology.

Over time, their daughter and son-in-law have also joined the winery, combining traditional practices with innovative concepts and techniques, contributing to the winery's success. Their dedication and hard work have been recognized, as they were awarded the title of Winery of the Year by Wine & Spirits magazine in 2011.
