Etienne Sauzet

Etienne Sauzet was the founder of the estate, establishing it as early as 1903. He passed away in 1975, leaving behind a remarkable legacy for his daughter Jeanine and son-in-law Gerard Boudot to carry on and safeguard the family business. Today, the estate has been passed down to their daughter Emilie and Benoit Riffault, with Benoit coming from a winemaking family in Sancerre. The couple has shown exceptional prowess, continuing the family's winemaking tradition.

Among the estate's wines, "Chevalier Montrachet" and "Montrachet" have become regulars at auctions, highly sought after and rare to come by. They are considered part of the trio of great white Burgundy wines from Puligny-Montrachet, alongside Leflaive and Ramonet.
