Florent Garaudet

Florent Garaudet is located in Cote de Beaune and is the 5th generation heir in the family wine business. After graduating from the winemaking school in Burgundy, he decided to study and work in Languedoc and Bordeaux. He later returned to his hometown to inherit his grandfather George's vineyard and establish Domaine Florent Garaudet. Florent Garaudet is a young and dynamic winemaker who strives for progress and innovation while adhering to traditional Burgundian concepts. He continuously learns new techniques and owns 3 hectares of vineyards spread across Monthelie, Meursault, and Puligny-Montrachet.

The vineyard practices mainly exclude the use of chemicals and involve manual tasks such as bud pruning, thinning fruit, and leaf thinning. Harvesting is done manually with two rounds of grape selection. After pressing, there is a brief soaking period before the juice is transferred to large tanks for natural yeast fermentation and then aged in 400-liter oak barrels (8 to 18 months for white wines and 12 to 18 months for red wines). The use of new oak barrels varies based on the region and utilizes different types of oak. The wines typically exhibit a rich and lively style, while the premier vineyards of Meursault, Puligny Montrachet, and Monthelie are characterized by elegance, sophistication, surprising complexity, and aging potential.
