The winery is a century-old historic estate located in the heart of the Barolo wine region in the Castiglione Falletto area, with its origins dating back to 1880. The Monprivato vineyard is the jewel of the estate, covering approximately 6 hectares at an elevation of 280 meters. It faces southwest, enjoying abundant sunlight due to the absence of barriers. The soil in the vineyard is rich in limestone marl and contains all the essential macro and micronutrients necessary for the growth of grapevines. As a result, the Barolo red wine produced from the Monprivato single vineyard showcases exceptional quality. For over a century, the Mascarello family has rigorously adhered to their cultivation practices, hand-harvesting the grapes and meticulously selecting each individual fruit, discarding any imperfections.
