Guiraud

Château Guiraud, also known as "Black-Faced God," is one of the largest estates in the Sauternes region, covering nearly 300 hectares. Since its acquisition in 1981 by the ambitious Canadian Hamilton Narby, the estate has been actively emulating the winemaking techniques of Château d'Yquem. What is remarkable about Guiraud is its use of a high proportion of Sauvignon Blanc in the blend, reaching up to 35%, which adds richness to the wines. Since 1983, Guiraud has become one of the leading producers of noble rot sweet white wines in the Sauternes region.
